Knotwork, an emo band hailing from Pennsylvania did not last very long, but they put out a few very good, unique releases. This seven inch was recorded in the mid 90s and showed a good amount of maturity and progression since the first demo they released that had more of a hardcore influence. The first track I listened to, also the longest, was Distance. It opens with a free-flowing melody and then a few minutes later buckles down with wrenching heavy sixteen-note chords and a snare that sounds so dirty, but makes it fit. Add raw dual vocals and a tempo change and the song continues on. The other two tracks on this are charged just as good and I think you'll find that you won't be disappointed.
